Adam King, CPA - CEO & Founder
As Founder and CEO of King Consulting Group, Adam oversees and works on various projects for his clients ranging from Vice President of Finance for large private equity-backed international companies to CFO of small start-ups. Before founding King Consulting Group, Adam was the CFO for Netsertive, a venture-backed digital marketing company in RTP. Preceding Netsertive, Adam was the Office Managing Audit Director for BDO’s Greenville, SC office, in addition to Audit Director in Raleigh, NC, and Boston. While at BDO, Adam worked on various clients, from Tech and Life Science start-ups to large billion-dollar publicly traded companies. Before his time at BDO, he served as the Director of Revenue Assurance and Internal Controls at Bandwidth.com and an Audit Manager at EY. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Elon University and is a CPA in Raleigh, NC.
Adam has been with his wife Kayla for 11 years, and they have a beautiful daughter Emerson and two dogs; Maggie, a crazy mini golden doodle, and Savannah, a sleepy(literally can sleep all day) lab/beagle mix. Outside of work, Adam enjoys traveling, playing basketball and golf, and working on house projects.
Kayla King - Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder
As the Chief Strategy Officer, Kayla leads the strategy and oversees the operations of the company. Kayla graduated from East Carolina University with a double concentration in Business and Marketing and Hospitality Management.
Kayla has over 15 years of experience in marketing, strategy, and process implementation with various companies ranging from Fortune 200 companies and private venture-backed start-ups, in the Life Science and Software industries. Her happy place is where business strategy and operations collide, finding important projects, potential targets, partnership opportunities, and identifying and reducing strategic risks.
Kayla has been with her husband Adam for the past 11 years, and they share a beautiful six-year-old daughter, Emerson, and two dogs. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys traveling, dining at new restaurants, and visiting her favorite beach spot.
